The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government has challenged teachers in the communities to learn modern teaching techniques that will aid them in producing successful students.
Mr Jelili Sulaimon gave the challenge as he felicitates with the teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day being commemorated today October 5.
He urged teachers to take their job seriously and uphold the ethics of their profession, as well as guide the students on morality.
According to him, teachers are the builders of nations and the future lies in the hands of today’s teachers.
The Chairman, through a release signed by his media aide, Ayinde Jamiu, reaffirmed his commitment to educational development of communities in Alimosho local government.
He, therefore, called on all stakeholders to support him as he makes the Aregbesola Primary School a model for all in terms of infrastructure and standard of learning.
“We understand the importance of education. We will soon lay the foundation of a story building classroom in Aregbesola Primary school. We will also renovate the school to world standard and make it a model for all primary schools in Lagos State,” he said.
Quoting the words of Henry Adam, Hon. Sulaimon said “a teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. “
