Sultan set to inaugurate Muslim Media Watch Group

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General,Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, will on Saturday 17th March, 2018 inaugurate the Board of Trustees of the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria.

The Ceremony which shall take place in the Banquet Hall of the Osun State Government House, Osogbo; South West Nigeria will have Governor Rauf Aregbesola as the Special Guest of Honour.

A release signed by the National coordinator, Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, Mallam Ibrahim Abdullah, said the Sultan is also the Grand Patron of the association.

At the inauguration, a paper on the “Effective Use of Mass Media for Da’awah” will be presented by an Editorr-in-Chief and a member Editorial Board of the defunct Concord Newspapers, Alhaji Liad Tella.

The occasion which will be presided over by the Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Kunle Sanni will also witness other dignitaries as Professor Is-haq Oloyede- the JAMB Registrar among others.

The Board of Trustee is chaired by Mallam Yusuf Ali, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Other members are: Mallam Muhammad Haruna; Abdraheem Adebayo Shittu; Professor Abdganiyu Ambali; Professor Obini Ekpe and Professor Saadiya Omar Bello.

Members of the Association across the country are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
