Nigerian music legend, Ras Kimono is dead. He died on Sunday, June 10 June aged 60.
Ras Kimono who was known for hit songs like ‘We no want’ and ‘“Rum-Bar Stylée” was said to have concluded plans to travel to the United States last night, and he complained of feeling funny.
According to reports, the legendary reggae artist was rushed to a hospital in Ikeja, where he was later taken to Lagoon Hospital on the Island where he died.
Steve Ayorinde, Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Lagos State has paid tribute to the music legend on his Instagram account.
Also one of the late Reggae fans, Ted Austins on his Instagram paid tribute to Kimono.
“Big bros RAS K, oh you are gone too soon.
“However, we take solace in the fact that you left your footprint on the sand of time.
“Last time out the Aniomas lost Keshi, now is you, big bros Ras kemono.
“Rest in the bossom of Jah, let his perptual light shine upon your soul & spirit,” Austins said.
