Palestinian activists from the Gaza Strip prevented the entry of medications coming from the Israeli Magen David Adom “Red Star of David” through the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Gaza Strip late on Tuesday.
Activists stressed that they refuse to “beautify the image of the occupation” by accepting medication from it.
The National Committee of Return Camps in the Gaza Strip confirmed their rejection of the donation made “by the executors of Monday’s massacre against the innocent”, calling for the medicines to be returned.
At least 62 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces along the Gaza border on Monday and Tuesday, including an eight-month-old baby.
Palestinians had been protesting against the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, demanding their right of return and marking the 70th anniversary of the Nakba, when nearly a million were forced out of their homes to make way for the formation of the state of Israel.
