The Osun State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr Danjuma Attah, has tasked and advised the corps members to be dedicated and more committed to all what they have learned during their one year mandatory service year.
He stated this while addressing the corps members in Osogbo zone at the passing out parade ceremony of the 2016 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1,set that was celebrated in a low key by the scheme on Friday.
Attah explained that he visited,Ikirun,Ilesa and Ile-Ife zone to celebrates with corps members due to the low key celebration of the passing out parade of the scheme.
The NYSC boss emphasized on the usefulness of the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programme that put in place by the scheme and that will empower crops members and make them self reliant.
He stressed that everyone in the country has been adjusting with the present situation.
“And I know that the corps members as well understand this, and they have started managing from their homes.”
He noted that it’s better for the corps members to become job creators and generate wealth themselves.
And it is supposed to make them self reliant and to serve as an alternative when there is nothing to do because many of them won’t get a white collar job.
Attah stated that over 1555 corps members are now free from Osun state to the labour market,he added.
