Despite his team’s defeat, the FC Taraba head coach, Ndubuisi Nduka, has expressed satisfaction with his wards performance at league leaders, Enyimba.
The Jalingo side lost 0-1 to Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled match day 25 clash on Monday at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
Musa Najare scored the match winner in the 76th minute to take the side to the NPFL summit.
Nduka said he will be the happiest man on mother earth if his wards could reenact the form at Enyimba in the remaining matches on the season’s calendar.
“I’m not disappointed with the outcome of the match though I would have loved to win or pick a point. Aba fans actually doffed their hats for my boys because of their sterling performance in the clash.
“How I wish they will continue on that height then I will not have any problem in our remaining matches.
“We lost couple of one on one chances with the opposing goalkeeper, which if converted, would have given us something decent to go home with.
“We will quickly head home to continue to map out plans on how to prosecute the remaining matches.
“We will not throw in the towel until it’s seen to be clearly over,” said the former Heartland coach.
The defeat leaves FC Taraba still rooted at the bottom of the 20-team top flight on 20 points from possible 75 in the 25-week old league.
