A faith-based organisation, the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has appointed Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Onike as i substantive Chief Missioner.
Onike, who has been acting as the Chief Missioner six months ago, following the resignation of the former Missioner, Alhaji Abdullahi Akinbode had his appointment ratified on Sunday by the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the society.
The BOT which is the highest decision making organ of the society announced the substantive appointment of Onike after a meeting held at its headquarters in Alausa.
At the meeting was the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregesola who is also a member of the BOT.
Incidentally, he was also in attendance when the former Chief Missioner was also appointed.
It was learnt that Akinbode resigned six months ago following a minor disagreement over tenure and he has gone to form another society.
Onike who was the Deputy Chief Missioner before the exit of Akinbode has been in the society from inception.
TheBOT had earlier advertised for the position before the BOT found him worthy of taking over as the Chief Missioner of the organization.
