MPAC, MMPN sign MoU on media engagement, monitoring, activism

The Muslim Public Affairs Center (MPAC), Nigeria and the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) at the weekend signed a Memorandum of Understanding on media engagement, monitoring and activism for Muslims in Nigeria.

The MOU was signed at the LCCI Exhibition Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, in the presence of representatives of both organisations as well as veteran Muslim media practitioners from the broadcast, print and online media as well as academia.

The five-page document was signed by the Director of MPAC, Mr Kamor Disu, and his counterpart from MMPN, Mallam Kabir Garba, Lagos Chair/Southwest Coordinator.

The signing ceremony preceded by a three-hour brainstorming session that saw Muslim media personalities relate challenges and proffer solutions to media bias against Islam and the Muslims in Nigeria.
