The Permanent Secretary in the Osun State Ministry of Finance, Mrs Bimpe ogunlumade, who was abducted along with two other government officials on Friday, have been released.
A statement signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Sunday Owoeye said that Ogunlumade, Mr Tajudeen Badejoko, the Director of State Audit and the Driver to the Auditor-General (State), Mr Oladapo Ajani Arogundade, were all in good condition.
Government had alerted security agencies nationwide towards safe release of the three officials that were kidnapped around Obajana area along Abuja-Lokoja road, Kogi State.
The officials were returning from Abuja, the nation’s capital where they had attended the briefing of a World Bank and European Union programme on the State and Local Government Reforms Project.
The release thanked God, the security officials, journalists and all those who joined forces to ensure prompt release of the officials from kidnappers den.
It added that arrangements were being made to convey them to Osogbo, the State capital to re-unite them with their families, relations, friends and well wishers.
