A serving senior Army officer, Colonel Samaila Inusa, has been abducted in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The incident occurred at about 7.30 pm on Saturday, March 26.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Usman Abdul, and made available to newsmen on Sunday.
According to the statement, the abducted senior officer of the Nigerian Army is serving in the Nigerian Army School of Infantry Jaji, Kaduna.
Abdul further stated that Inusa was abducted at Kamazo, near NNPC junction, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
“The abductors dropped off his wife and left with him in his car.
“They are in a Mercedes Benz GLK Black colour with registration number Abuja, KUJ 154 TZ.
“The car headed towards Abuja,” the statement read in part.
It, however, did not state whether the abductors have made any demand or not.
The Army appealed to the general public to assist with any useful information or assistance that could help to track the abductors.
