Fire razes another school in Kano

Barely one one month after seven students died in a school dormitory in the commercial city of Kano, the inferno has gutted the boys hostel of a government secondary school on Thursday morning in the state.

Eye witness said the fire started at about 8.15 a.m. when the students were already in the classroom, learning.

A mysterious fire today gutted a dormitory of a boys secondary school in Kwankwaso, in Madobi Local Government of the state.

Although, there was no casualty, it was gathered that the one storey dormitory had the upper floor completely destroyed by the inferno.

Dr Bakari Ado Hussaini, who is a Special Adviser to the State Governor, confirmed the incident.

He thanked God that the inferno started when the students were not in the building.

 

The Renaissance recalls thaton Dec. 1, seven pupils lost their lives, while 21 others sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out at the Government Girls Secondary School, Jogana in Gezawa Local Government Area of the state.
