The National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF) has called for the immediate cancellation of the Super Eagles friendly match against the Leopards of DR Congo.
This is coming against the backdrop of the recent outbreak of the Ebola virus in the East African country.
The match has bee slated to be played in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on May 28.
But the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, insisted on Friday that the friendly game with DR Congo would go ahead despite the anxiety over the Ebola virus.
Prof. Isaac Folorunso, the Minister of Health, had raised anxiety over the dreaded disease.
