The Federal Government says the kidnapped students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State have been found.
Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, who confirmed the development on Wednesday morning in Abuja said the girls are on their way home.
Sources say the Boko Haram insurgent group came with the girls in nine vehicles same way they took them away.
There was confusion in the area as members of the community scampered into the bush when the terror group appeared in the area, first dropping off one of the girls in a nearby village.
They later drove into the centre of Dapchi town to drop off the rest of the girls.
Five of the girls are dead, according to sources.
It is not clear if the Nigerian government paid any ransom to get the girls released.
