President Goodluck Jonathan, whose second term bid campaign train landed in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Monday, has taken time off to hold crucial fence-mending visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo country home, Abeokuta.
Jonathan and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) are said to be holding a closed door meeting with Obasanjo as at the time of filing this report.
Sources say the meeting was put in place to find a common ground between the two leaders.
In recent times, Obasanjo has been critical of the present government’s failure in all directions, particularly for running down the economy, not able to tackle the armed insurgence and above all the endemic corruption at the top echelon of government offices.
