The rescue operation by troops of the 152 Task Force battalion of the Nigerian Army on Sunday rescued 275 persons held hostage by the Boko Haram terrorists.

The troop also discovered and destroyed the Boko Haram terrorists’ IED making factory at Bula Umara and killed 15 terrorists in the same area.
It was gathered that the operation was carried out in conjunction with troops of Sector 1 of Multinational Joint Task Force.
One of the rescued persons gave birth to baby boy, shortly after their liberation. Both mother and the child are doing fine according to the Army.
The Army said that the troops cleared terrorists camp in Maksamari, Koujili, Madawaya, Jere, Kardile, Ngenere, Douse, Bembem, Zombulum and Taraji villages.

The troops also recovered an AK-47 rifle, four fully loaded magazines with 7.62mm ammunition, two power generating sets, welding machines, assorted batteries and solar panels.
Fifteen terrorists were also killed in the attack as some weapons, vehicles and motorcycles were captured.
The Nigerian army said the troops have continued with their clearance operations to other suspected hideouts of the Boko Haram terrorists in their areas of operations.
