The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commence airlifting of the nation’s 75,000 pilgrims back home after completing all hajj rites in Saudi Arabia.
The Renaissance gathered that the first batch 475 pilgrims left the Jeddah International Airport for Nigeria at about 11.00 a.m. Nigerian time on Saturday.
The pilgrims from Kogi State, aboard Flynas flight No KNE 7268 are expected to arrive Nigeria about 4.00 p.m.
Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi, the Media officer of the NAHCON, confirmed the departure to our correspondent in Jiddah.
Abdullah said that two other flights were already on the ground preparing for take-off.
He said one of the flights was due to fly to Ilorin, while the other would be going to Abuja.
